Keeping a brave face, Rihanna was spotted walking out of her London hotel on Tuesday (July 3) to catch a flight to Barbados to be with her family after her grandmother, Dolly, passed away.
After cancelling a scheduled performance, the "You Da One" singer made her way to a private jet wearing a sweater draped over her loose black shirt that she wore with white leggings and a matching white flat-bill hat.
Moments after she was spotted leaving her hotel, Rihanna tweeted a picture of herself standing in front of the awaiting jet, adding a caption reading: "Coming home to squeeze ya mama".
The 24-year-old shared the news that her grandmother had passed away on Sunday (July 1), and has since been posting pictures and revealing how hurt she is by the loss with accompanying messages such as "Till now, I always got by on my own" and "Memories don't live like people do".
Rihanna was previously slated to perform at the Rock In Rio festival in Madrid, Spain on Thursday (July 5) and - although organizers have confirmed they are looking for a replacement performer - they are offering refunds to fans.
