Making a surprise appearance ahead of her slated Sunday headlining duties, Rihanna joined mentor Jay-Z as he closed out Day 1 of BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend in London, England on Saturday night (June 23).
Held at Hackney Marshes, the black crop top clad Barbadian beauty stepped onstage while helping to kick off the 42-year-old rap star's set with an energizing rendition of their hit collaboration "Run This Town".
With Jigga proceeding forth to churn out a full lineup of hits including "99 Problems", "Bonnie & Clyde" and "Girls, Girls, Girls", his set came to an epic close with "Empire State of Mind" delivered as an American flag provided for a patriotic backdrop.
A short while later, Jay Z reemerged from backstage while treating the 50,000+ in attendance to a five cut "Watch The Throne" encore as he was joined by Kanye West - with the pair wrapping it all up with an extended version of their hit track "N**gas In Paris".
